International Program Assistant (IPA)
Overview
The International Program Assistant is generally a recent WFU graduate with international experience, exhibiting both great maturity and reliability. The IPA functions as a liaison between the professor and the students, deals with minor problems as they arise, organizes kitchen and household cleanup crews, as well as social activities in the house and around the city.
The daily responsibilities vary at each location but may include: writing and distributing a weekly newsletter of information, helping the students get the most out of their experience and assisting the Resident Professor, Program Director and the onsite Administrator and staff in a wide range of activities. Sporadically the IPA may be called upon to assist with something for the Center for Global Programs and Studies, such as updating the student handbook.
