Addressing Global Challenges Through UN Sustainable Development Goals
Each Global VIEW course is designed around one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals—a global framework for tackling humanity’s most pressing challenges. Students explore these goals through cross-cultural collaboration, examining how different societies approach shared problems. Study alongside international students, explore global perspectives, and develop intercultural competencies – all without leaving campus.
How Global VIEW Works
Flexible, With a Few Live Sessions
Most course instruction and individual assignments are offered asynchronously. However, the class will have just a few scheduled virtual meetings over Zoom, in order to allow students to build rapport.
The asynchronous format allows for deep, thoughtful engagement with course material while accommodating different time zones.
Collaborate Across Borders
The heart of Global VIEW is collaborative learning. You’ll be placed in small, multinational teams that meet regularly via Zoom throughout the semester.
These synchronous sessions create opportunities for meaningful discussion, cultural exchange, and team projects that bring diverse perspectives to every topic.
