WFU Students
Course Format
Global VIEW is a primarily asynchronous course, giving you the flexibility to engage with course material on your own schedule. However, there are two types of live virtual meetings to be aware of:
- Whole-class sessions — A small number of scheduled Zoom meetings will include all students. These may occasionally require early morning, evening, or weekend availability to accommodate international time zones.
- Team sessions — You’ll be placed on a small three-person multinational team that meets live over Zoom throughout the semester. Your team will coordinate meeting times that work for all members.
All other instruction and individual assignments are completed asynchronously.
Your Global Team
WFU students are placed on culturally diverse, cross-disciplinary teams with classmates from three partner universities around the world. Teams are intentionally designed to bring together students from different countries and academic backgrounds, enriching every discussion with a range of perspectives.

University Partners
Partner With Wake Forest
Wake Forest University welcomes partnerships with colleges and universities around the world for this annual program. Institutions from every continent and region are encouraged to apply. The primarily asynchronous format of Global VIEW provides significant flexibility to accommodate different time zones and academic calendars, making international participation practical and accessible.
There is no cost to partner institutions.
Your Role as a Partner
Partner universities play an essential role in the success of Global VIEW. Each institution is responsible for advertising the opportunity, recruiting interested students, and selecting participants to represent your school. We are able to accept approximately five students per partner institution per semester.
Credit & Transcripts
Wake Forest does not award academic credit directly to students enrolled through partner institutions. However, upon successful completion of the course, Wake Forest is pleased to provide official documentation of completion to your academic deans to support a home institution credit decision.
In addition, the Wake Forest University Registrar maintains a permanent record for all international Global VIEW participants. Official paper or electronic transcripts confirming course participation are available upon request at any time.
