QEP Initiative: Global Laureates Academy

Description

The Global Laureates Academy is a global honors program for members of the Wake Forest community who aim to develop their global competencies and further their understanding of the world. The 4 semester-long program consists of WFU students, faculty, and staff who participate in globally-focused seminars, workshops, and collaborative capstone projects to further promote a global campus community.

Learning Outcomes

Intercultural Inquiry

Students will be able to interpret global events, values, and practices from multiple cultural perspectives.

Self-Awareness

Students will be able to explain how their own perspective and experiences influence their understanding of other cultures.

Community Interaction

Students will be able to collaborate across diverse cultures and settings to address complex global challenges.

Intercultural Communication

Students will be able to negotiate intercultural interactions using appropriate communication skills.

Global Laureates Academy Assessment

The first cohort of Global Laureates Academy participants will complete the program in May 2019.
